Eligre might have envied his ability to fall to sleep quickly, but Geralt rarely if ever slept well. Nightmares plagued him. Trying to find a lost girl in the wood. He could hear a girl and later a woman calling out his name. Renfri telling him that he couldn't escape the girl in the woods. Again. He started awake some time before the cock crowed. The sun hadn't even thought of rising yet for the day. For a while, he tried to go back to sleep, but ended up staring at the ceiling.
